Pin Update! Final Stage of Production.
about 2 years ago – Fri, Mar 18, 2022 at 03:19:42 PM

Good evening, everyone!

I reached out to my manufacturer today to get an update on the status of the pin series, and I am happy to report that the pins are currently being screen printed as we speak, this means they're in their final stage of production so they should be done really soon now! Below, you'll find a a short video of the screen printing process taking place:

When I receive word that these pins are finished, I will let you all know right away :)

A big thank you to everyone for all of your support and patience!

Sample Pin Photos!
about 2 years ago – Wed, Feb 09, 2022 at 05:42:33 AM

Good afternoon, everyone!

Hope all has been well with everyone since the New Year!

I have an update ready for you guys. I had been in communications back and fourth with my manufacturer since about the third week of January. Before the factory went on break for Chinese New Year, they photographed the first samples of the pins for me so that I can check to make sure everything was so my liking, from the enamel colours, to the effects, and down to the production quality. Below I will attach a collage of the pictures that were sent to me:

As you can see, pins 1-6 do not have screenprinting, this was expected, as I was told by the factory that in order to keep their screenprint molds clean, they no longer put screenprint on the sample pins. I was actually surprised that pins 7-8 *were* done with the screen printing, despite being told they wouldn't be. May have been a mistake, but regardless, that's why you see that those have screenprinting while the others do not.

It feels really good to get a glimpse of what the finished product will look like! The enamel colours and glitters all looked great, I made no changes on that front whatsoever.

One request I made to my manufacturer was to be careful with pins 1-6 in regards to the thickness of the lines. I feel that they need to be thinner and my rep agreed, she communicated with the factory in regards to this issue and confirmed that the samples were over-polished, rendering the lines thicker than they should be. She assured me that this was addressed with the factory now and that they'd be careful not to over-polish the full batch, so that this issue would not persist.

For pins 7-8, they are gold plated but the pictures made that not apparent, I brought up the gold plating with my rep and she confirmed that they are indeed gold, but that the lighting in the pictures makes it hard to see. Manu pictures are notorious for being pretty bad, so sometimes this can happen and as long as we've been able to confirm they're gold, we should be good :)

I also pointed out to my rep that the sandblasted backgrounds weren't super obvious to me, but that I wasn't sure whether that was because of the photos themselves again or whether it was due to the production. She confirmed with me that for the full batch, the sandblast would be made more obvious.

I've worked with this same manufacturer and rep on a way bigger pin order in the past, with 22 designs, and they were extremely attentive to everything I asked of them, including corrections at the sample stage moving forward into full production, so I am confident that they will take care on the things I've pointed out.

Once everything was cleared up and all my concerns addressed, I gave the ok for the full production to be completed on these designs. They started the full batch before leaving on holiday for Chinese New Year and will resume once they return.

We are on the final stretch now!

Acrylic Charms Update!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Dec 29, 2021 at 04:23:20 PM

I have an exciting update for you guys!

The "Synchronization" acrylic charms have been finished. My manufacturer sent me a video of the finished product. Here it is:

All early bird backers get one of these for free. They were also available as add-ons in the surveys, so anyone who purchased one through there will receive it as well. Currently, they available for pre-order as well.

It feels great to see these charms come to life! I'm really pleased with the finished product!

As we move towards the end of the year, I would like to wish all of you a safe, healthy, and prosperous New Year! See you all in 2022 for the next update!

Pin Manufacturing Update
over 2 years ago – Tue, Dec 21, 2021 at 10:21:14 AM

Good afternoon, everyone!

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season so far!

This time of year is really busy both personally and professionally, but I want to take a moment to give you all a progress update for the pins.

Production has been much slower than anticipated, from my factory becoming backed up with orders after this Kickstarter was over, to recently implemented regulations limiting power consumption, causing each order to take more time to complete.

I have been communicating back and fourth with my manu, and she has let me know that despite the factory backup, she will make every effort to get the factory to at least get to the point where enamel colours are finished and send me pictures by the middle of January.  This is later than I had originally hoped, but still decent, hopefully things continue to move along from this point forward. I'm really looking forward to receiving the first photos of this pin series and sharing them with you! I put a lot of love into designing these and am eagerly anticipating seeing them come to life.

As soon as I get more news, I'll let you guys know!

Until the next time, have a safe and happy holiday season!
